DHOKLA

                                                                     Dhokla


INGREDIENTS:-

  • 1 cup Besan
  • 1/2 cup Sour curd
  • 1/2 cup Ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp Green chilly paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Fruit salt
  •  1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • 5 Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2/3 Green chillies
  • 1 tbsp chopped Corainder
  • 1 tbsp Grated coconut


METHOD:-
  1. In a bowl mix besan, ginger paste, green chilly paste, salt, turmeric powder and curd .
  2. Beat the curd till smooth .
  3. Add water and prepare a thick batter .
  4. Then add fruit salt into the batter and stir gently.
  5. Now pour immediately the batter into the greased tin plate.
  6. Then put the plate into the steamer .
  7. And make sure that the lid of the steamer is closed tightly .
  8. Then steam for 15 minutes .
  9. Then remove the tin plate from the steamer .
  10. Heat oil in a pan for tadka .
  11. Now put mustard seeds, curry leaves and green chillies.
  12. Saute for 30 seconds and add 1/2 cup of water.
  13. Cut the dhokla ino square sized pieces.
  14. Then pour the tadka over the dhokla and garnish with chopped corainder and grated coconut.
