Ingredients:
- 4-5 slices Bread
- 1 tbsp Butter/Olive oil
- 1 tsp minced Garlic
- 1/4 tsp dried Oregano flakes
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp minced Green chillies
Steps / Method:
- Melt the butter/olive oil in a skillet or in a tadka pan.
- Using of olive oil gives an extraordinary aroma and healthy too.
- If using unsalted butter or olive oil then add little salt in it.
- Then put the minced garlic, green chillies and oregano flakes into it and cook till garlic change a little colour.
- Then remove it from heat and put some mixtures over the bread slices and brush it.
- Now toast it in 200 degree celsius for 3-4 minutes in oven or untill the the edges are golden brown.
- Serve hot with pasta.
Kulcha
INGREDIENTS:-
- 2 cups Maida
- 1tsp Dry yeast
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 cup yoghurt/curd
- 1tsp Sugar
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp Butter
METHOD:-
- Take a borosil or glass bowl, put the warm water into it.
- Then add the dry yeast in the warm water and dissolve it.
- Now add sugar and little salt into it and keep the bowl aside for 10 min to make the yeast active.
- Take a bowl put maida and add salt, baking powder and mix it properly.
- Then add curd and activated yeast water into it.
- Then put warm milk and warm water and oil to form a soft dough.
- When the dough is ready cover the dough with a wet white cotton cloth.
- Keep the dough aside for 6-8 hours.
- After 6-8 hours the size of the dough must be almost double due to the action of yeast.
- Again knead the dough to take out the air.
- Divide the doughinto equal parts, shape like balls.
- Then roll the dough ball in roll discof 7-8 inches.
- If you are using tandoor or oven then pre-heat in 300 degree for about 3 minutes.
- Then put the kulcha in the oven and cook untill golden brown and after that apply butter over it .
- If you are using tawa then heat the tawa and put the kulcha into it and roast it like parathas by applying butter.
- Serve hot with gravy dishes.
Missi roti
INGREDIENTS:-
- 2 cups whole wheat flour (atta)
- 2 cups gram flour (besan)
- Salt to taste
- Water to knead
- Red chilly powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tbsp dry fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi)
- A pinch of turmeric powder
METHOD:-
- In a bowl put wheat flour, gram flour, salt, chilly powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
- Make powder of fenugreek leaves and mix it into the flour.
- Then put cumin seeds and mix well.
- Rub oil into the flour and slowly add water and make a soft dough.
- Cover the mixture with a cloth for 1 hour.
- Knead well again the dough and make balls.
- Then roll it like thick chapati.
- Now heat pan to cook missi roti.
- When the rotis are done add little amount of oil or it can be done without using oil.
- Now the missi roti are ready to serve and it can also be done by using oven .
