Ingredients:
- 2 cups Atta/Whole wheat flour
- 2 potatoes (boiled, peeled and mashed)
- 1 tbsp chopped Onions
- 1 tsp Ginger paste
- 2 tsp Garlic paste
- 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Oil as required
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp Dry mango powder / amchur powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Ajwain
- 2 tbsp Corainder leaves (chopped)
Steps / Method:
- Take a bowl, add whole wheat flour, little salt, ajwain and mix well.
- Then add 3 tbsp oil into it and mix well.
- Now prepare a dough of it by adding little water into it.
- Set aside the dough for 30 minutes.
- Now heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, onions into it, and fry until the onions are translucent.
- Then add the chopped green chillies, ginger paste, garlic paste and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Then add the turmeric powder, mashed potatoes, salt, cumin powder and dry mango powder and mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes in low flame.
- Then remove the mashed potato mixture from heat and add chopped corainder leaves into it and mix well.
- Now divide the dough into equal parts of desired size.
- Take one dough ball, and flatten it by using your palms.
- Place little aloo stuffing and close it like another ball.
- Then roll the stuffed dough with rolling pins.
- Heat the pan and put the parathas over it and allow it to cook.
- Spread little oil / butter over it and cook untill golden brown, in medium flame.
- Now aloo paratha is ready to serve, serve hot with dahi and chutney.
